Hello Jammers,
My acoustic trio is getting good -- we can play lots of good songs and do lots of instrumental verses. All that's good. btw, you can hear for yourself at http://www.myspace.com/deadset
However, when we leave the song format and go into more free form jamming, we run into problems and it feels stiff. I tell my bandmates that all we need to do is listen to each other and respond in the moment. Still, it ain't happening...in fact, I feel resistance from the guys.

Have any of you run into this? If so, what worked for you? How did you get beyond it.
